My Third Quarter Reflection

Image
My Third Quarter Reflection                  During the Third Quarter, I learned many new lessons and skills that helped me grow as a student. I discovered how to manage my time better, understand my lessons more clearly, and express my ideas through different activities like writing, projects, and discussions. I also learned the importance of responsibility, cooperation, and active participation in class.      I encountered several challenges during this quarter. Some lessons were difficult to understand, especially when the topics were new or required deeper thinking. There were also times when I felt tired or pressured because of multiple tasks and deadlines. Adjusting to the pace of the lessons was sometimes hard.     To address these challenges, I tried to stay focused and organized. I asked help from my teachers and classmates when I did not understand a lesson. I also practiced better time management by d...

Jose Rizal, the Face of the Philippines

Image
Jose Rizal, the Face of the Philippines      J ose Rizal’s greatest contribution to Philippine society was awakening the nationalism of Filipinos through his ideas and writings. Instead of using violence, he used his intelligence and pen to expose the abuses of Spanish colonizers. His novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo opened the eyes of Filipinos to the injustices happening in society, especially in religion, education, and government.      Through his writings, Rizal inspired Filipinos to value freedom, dignity, and love for country. He showed that change could begin with education and critical thinking. Rizal believed that an educated citizenry was the key to a progressive and independent nation. His ideas encouraged Filipinos to unite and stand up for their rights peacefully.    Rizal also contributed as a reformist and leader. He promoted equality between Filipinos and Spaniards and c...

Love in Christmas Season

Image
Love in Christmas Season Christmas, for me, is a season of love and hope. It is not only about gifts, lights, or decorations, but about having a kind heart. During this time, I feel more thankful for the blessings I receive and the people who stay by my side. This season reminds me of the importance of family. Christmas is a time when we gather, share meals, and enjoy simple moments together. Even small conversations and laughter become special because we are together as one. Christmas also teaches me to give and to care for others. Helping those in need, sharing what I have, and showing kindness make the season more meaningful. I realize that giving brings more joy than receiving. In its essence, Christmas is about peace, forgiveness, and love. It encourages me to be a better person, not...

President Elpidio Quirino

Image
President Elpidio Quirino        Elpidio Quirino’s life reminds us that true leadership often grows from hardship. Born into a simple family in Ilocos Sur, he worked his way up through education and determination. His rise from a humble student to president shows how far resilience can take a person.      Quirino carried this strength into public service. He helped shape laws for Philippine independence and held several important government positions. Yet his greatest test came during World War II, when he lost his wife and children. Instead of giving up, he chose to continue serving the nation, showing a remarkable depth of courage.        As president, he led the Philippines through the difficult years after the war—rebuilding communities, restoring the economy, and working for peace. His efforts were not perfect, but they came from a sincere desire to help his country stand again. Quirino’s story teaches us that leadership is not...

2025 National Children’s Month celebration

Image
2025 National Children’s Month celebration   The 2025 National Children’s Month celebration, with the theme   “OSAEC–CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!” , is a powerful reminder of how vulnerable children have become in today’s digital world. The theme recognizes that danger no longer exists only in the physical environment; it now reaches children through screens, messages, and online platforms. This reality can be frightening, especially for families who may not be fully aware of how online spaces        work. By focusing on ending online sexual abuse and exploitation, the celebration urges all of us parents, teachers, communities, and institutions to stay alert, to be informed, and to protect children with both compassion and courage. At its heart, the theme affirms that every child deserves to grow up safe, respected, and free from fear. In recent years, the government has taken significant steps to add...
