It’s More Fun sa Pamayanan: Fiesta Vibes in Vigan City

It’s More Fun sa Pamayanan: Fiesta Vibes in Vigan City

Celebrating the Conversion of St. Paul in the Heritage City of Vigan

Welcome to Vigan City

Vigan City is one of the most beautiful heritage cities in the Philippines. Known for its well-preserved Spanish-era houses and rich Ilocano culture, Vigan becomes even more alive during its annual Fiesta of the Conversion of St. Paul. As part of the #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines campaign, this travel blog shares my personal experience witnessing the fiesta and why Vigan is truly a fun and meaningful destination.

Cultural Shows and Street Celebrations

One of the most exciting parts of the celebration  was watching the street dancing and cultural performances Different groups performed dances inspired by Ilocano history and daily life. Dancers in vibrant costumes performed along Calle Crisologo, showcasing local music, history, and creativity.

The performances reflected the strong cultural identity of Vigan and reminded me how Filipinos celebrate fiestas not only for fun but also to preserve heritage.

A Fiesta Is Not Complete Without the Peryaan

When fiesta season comes to Vigan City, one of the most awaited attractions is the peryaan. During the celebration of the Fiesta of the Conversion of St. Paul, the peryaan brought excitement, laughter, and colorful lights that made the city even more lively. As part of the #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines campaign, this travel blog shares my personal experience enjoying the peryaan in the City of Vigan.

Bright Lights and Happy Sounds

As night fell, the peryaan came alive with colorful lights, cheerful music, and excited visitors. Different rides such as the Ferris wheel, carousel, mini train, and Viking ride were filled with children, teenagers, and even adults reliving their childhood memories.

Seeing families and friends enjoying the rides together showed how the peryaan brings people closer during fiesta celebrations.

 Games, Prizes, and Fun Challenges

Aside from the rides, the peryaan also had booth games like balloon darts, ring toss, and shooting games. I tried some of the games and felt both excitement and nervousness while aiming for prizes.

Winning small toys and souvenirs made the experience more memorable and fun, proving that simple games can bring great joy.

Music Brings the Fiesta to Life

One of the most exciting highlights of the Fiesta of the Conversion of St. Paul in Vigan City was the concert night featuring different invited artists. As part of the city’s grand celebration, the concert gathered locals and tourists to enjoy music, energy, and togetherness—proving once again why It’s More Fun in the Philippines.

A Night Full of Music and Energy

The concert was held in an open area where a large stage, bright lights, and powerful sound system welcomed the audience. Different invited artists, including local performers and well-known Filipino singers, took turns performing on stage.

Each artist brought a unique style—some sang upbeat pop songs, while bands energized the crowd with lively music. The audience sang along, waved their hands, and recorded moments on their phones.

This fiesta experience taught me that celebrating local traditions helps preserve our culture and strengthens community bonds. Vigan City proves that even in the new normal, celebrations can still be safe, meaningful, and fun.

Through this blog, I support the campaign “It’s More Fun sa Pamayanan” by encouraging everyone to visit Vigan and experience its unique heritage and joyful fiestas.
